Standard triaxial cells and accessories

The cell essentially consists of a transparent polycarbonate chamber which has a piston assembly fit to the top and a double flange base fit to the bottom.  Three (or six) simple thumbscrew are used to clamp the upper part of the cell to the base, which make assembly and disassembly a very quick and simple operation. The base of the cell has four inlet points for top and drainage/back pressure, cell pressure and bottom drainage/pore water pressure. 

Base adapters, plinths, top caps, porous disc, rubber membranes and sealing rings are not included.

Triaxial cells for advanced applications

The cell essentially consists of a transparent banded chamber to prevent excessive expansion during the test and to protect against explosive failure when used with compressed air systems. The design of the cell ensure vertical alignment of the cell ram by clamping the Perspex wall separately from the cell top.

  • Cells are designed to accommodate a specimen with a high twice its diameter

  • Models: 28-WF4070; 28-WF4100; 28-WF4150 with pedestal and top cap can be used also to perform stress path tests and dynamic test using a vacuum attachment.
  • Models: 28-WF4070; 28-WF4100; 28-WF4150 can be upgraded with an advanced kit making them compatible with mini on sample transducers and bender elements.
