Universal specimen extruder is used to remove 4” (101.6 mm), 6” (152.4 mm), 100 mm, 150 mm diameter specimens from Proctor, CBR and Marshall moulds.

Maximum ram stroke: 197 mm (ram) + 68 mm (screw) 
Steel structure with adapters that can be easily fit conforming to the mould diameter.
This hand operated hydraulic soil extruder can accommodate standard U4 tubes and a range of adaptors to extrude soil samples 35, 38, 101.6, 106 and 152.4mm dia.
It can also be used to remove Marshall, Proctor and CBR specimens.

16-T0082/A16: Extension for extruding up to 450 mm long samples
Motor operated soil extruder features one of the largest capacities available on the market (ram stroke 900 mm), and due to the large number of standard adaptors, is considered the most versatile extruder.

16-T0083/A: Motorised hydraulic soil extruder. 230 V, 50 Hz, 1 ph

The machine exerts a max. thrust of 60 kN and is very simple to operate: a lever controls the extruding speed  and the hydraulic valve for the extrusion or return movement.
It can also be stopped at any point in its travel to enable extrusion into small smaller sample tubes or to take smaller size specimens.

Sampling tubes are held in place by an adjustable “V” shape bearing which can extrude either in the vertical or horizontal position.
Both the hydraulic cylinder assembly and the receiving table can easily be lowered alongside the machine to save space when not in use.

The machine is supplied without tube adaptors which have to be ordered separately.

Soil lathe, trimmer, extruder apparatus is used to prepare any size of cylindrical soil sample:
- Specimen lathe function: from dia. 35x70 mm to dia. 110x220 mm
- Specimen trimming and extruding function: from dia. 35x70 mm to dia. 50x100 mm

The apparatus which can be used either as a trimmer or as a sampler consists of:
  1. A rotating round base with reference guide where the specimen is placed;
  2. A vertical threaded rod actuated by a wheel knob, whose purpose is to regulate the vertical height of the specimen and to maintain it in position during trimming;
  3. Two vertical lateral rod which are used as reference guides far the trimming saw;
  4. An adjustable rod fitted to graduate slide which is used to check and set the diameter of soil sample
  5. Adapter for grubbing the sample (100, 70mm) during lathing
  6. Adapter for grubbing the sample (50, 38, 35mm) during lathing
  7. Adapter for trimming (35-38 mm) and extruding (50mm) the sample
  8. Adapter for trimming (50 mm)

To reduce samples an open wire saw is required. Can also be used for Consolidation, Shear and Triaxial preparation, by the use of appropriate accessories.

Soil versatile sampler, cutter and extruder can be used to extrude and prepare soil samples for the following soil mechanics tests:

- consolidation
- shear
- triaxial
- permeability
- other tests

Various circular, cylindrical and square cutters are available from our range, depending on the geotechnical test to be performed. Accessories for Consolidation, Shear and Triaxial preparation available separately.

The cutter is gently (thank to the rack and pinion mechanism) pushed into the soil core and then extruded with the extrusion dolly.
Laboratory digital planetary mixer is a robust device for the efficient mixing during preparation.

This model is a table mounted unit with planetary mixing action and a bowl and whisk that are easily fitted and removed. The front grill, when opened, automatically stops the machine for operator protection conforming to CE requirements.
The machine is supplied complete with bowl and whisk.

The machine operates with a dedicated and easy to use display and keyboard interface. Mixing speed can be easily selected (also adjustable during mixing).
