Nuclear Density Meter Training Course
Groundtest Equipment regularly offers training courses for operators of nuclear moisture/density gauges.
The one-day training courses are held throughout the year in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, and sometimes in other regional centres or for in-house training. Online radiation safety training and operator training courses are available too. These courses are recognised by the Office of Radiation Safety as sufficient preliminary training before applying for a ORS license to own and use a nuclear gauge.

All WelcomeOperators of all brands of nuclear gauges are welcome. The information will be of interest to civil engineers, roading, earthworks and construction contractors, geotechnical consultants and anyone who is a current or potential owner or operator of nuclear densometers.
CertificationAt the end of the training course there is a test and those that pass will receive a certificate.
Legislation and RegulationsThe Office of Radiation Safety Codes of Safe Practice and guidance notes for nuclear density meters have been issued and operators need to be aware of the latest regulations.
