Flexural Testing Frames

Flexure frame
Universal flexural frame 150 kN cap., with adjustable vertical clearance

This versatile flexural frame has been designed to test either standard concrete beams or other concrete products as  the roomy  testing place can accommodate large specimens. Furthermore, the possibility of adjusting the vertical clearance up to 400-500 mm, using the appropriate accessory, permits the testing on various products including concrete pipes.
It is proposed in two versions: with pressure transducer and with load cell which grant high accuracy for testing low strength specimens.

50-C1400/FR: 150 kN cap. flexural frame with adjustable vertical clearance, complete with pressure transducer and connection kit for separate control console. Bearers not included.

50-C1401/FR: 150 kN cap. flexural frame with adjustable vertical clearance, complete with load cell and connection kit for separate control console. Bearers not included.

High stiffness flexural frame, 200 kN cap., SIMPLEX

This high stiffness flexural frame has been especially designed for displacement controlled testing on advanced construction materials, e.g. fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) and sprayed concrete. These tests are significantly affected by the actual frame stiffness therefore the relevant international Standards state stiffness limits which are exceeded by this new model (better than 200 kN/mm).
 
The new layout also allows easier frontal specimen loading and positioning.
The horizontal daylight accommodates large specimens (slab, flagstones), concrete beams and kerbs long up to 650 mm.
Two models are available, either with pressure transducer or with load cell, both fitted with piston travel limit switch and connection kit to separate control console.

50-C1510/FR: SIMPLEX - 200 kN cap. high rigidity flexural frame,  complete with pressure transducer and connection kit for separate control console. Rollers not included.
 
50-C1511/FR: SIMPLEX - 200 kN cap. high rigidity flexural frame, complete with load cell and connection kit for separate control console. Rollers not included.

This high stiffness flexural frame has been designed to have a double testing mode: parallel and orthogonal. Parallel mode is meant to be used for displacement controlled testing on advanced construction materials, e.g. fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) and sprayed concrete.
Orthogonal mode is meant to be used to test specimens with more than 650mm length.

This high stiffness flexural frame has been especially designed for displacement controlled testing on advanced construction materials, e.g. fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) and sprayed concrete. These tests are significantly affected by the actual frame stiffness therefore the relevant international Standards state stiffness limits which are exceeded by this new model (better than 200 kN/mm).

In addition the frame is suitable to host round FRC slab to ASTM C1550.

The frame is fitted with high precision load cell (recommended for FRC testing), piston travel limit switch and connection kit to the control console. Bearers not included.

50-C1711/FR: SIMPLEX - 350 kN cap. high rigidity flexural frame, complete with load cell and connection kit for separate control console. Rollers not included. Includes set of spacers to reduce the vertical daylight by: 50mm, 80mm, 100mm, 130mm, 150mm and 180mm.

This high stiffness flexural frame has been designed to have a double testing mode: parallel and orthogonal. Parallel mode is meant to be used for displacement controlled testing on advanced construction materials, e.g. fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) and sprayed concrete. Orthogonal mode is meant to be used to test long specimens having more than 880mm length.

The frame is fitted with high precision load cell (recommended for FRC testing), with piston travel limit switch and connection kit to the control console. Bearers not included.

50-C1701/FR: DUPLEX - 350 kN cap. high rigidity flexural frame, complete with load cell and connection kit for separate control console. Rollers not included. Includes set of spacers to reduce the vertical daylight by: 50mm, 100mm and 150mm

Universal, open structure flexural frame, 300 kN cap.

UNIFLEX 300 flexural frame has been designed to satisfy the stringent requirements prescribed by the standards concerning, above all, the determination of deformability and ductility index of sprayed concrete and fiber reinforced concrete.

The “C” shaped open structure allows an easy and practical front loading but, once the specimen is in the loading position, the structure is closed by a vertical rod hydraulically clamped and controlled to compensate frame deformation during the test thus ensuring high rigidity.

Fitted with high precision strain gauge load cell for accurate and reliable test results.
The frame has to be connected to a control console and completed with the suitable testing accessories depending on the test to be performed.
