CBR Moulds & Accessories
This method is used for the laboratory evaluation of subgrade and subbase coarse materials in road construction.
To perform this type of test, we propose moulds with various accessories listed below and manual compaction rammers, all conforming to NZS 4402.6.1.2:1986 and NZS 4407:2015
G-T0090/PNZ: CBR Mould Complete, with body, collar and perforated baseplate
152 +/- 0.5mm dia. x 127-128mm high
G-T0090/SNZ: The same as above, but with a solid baseplate (optional)
34-T0095/C: CBR tamping bar 12.7 mm dia. x 380 mm long
34-T0099: Straight edge 3x30x300 mm
G-T0092/NZ: Perforated plate with adjustable stem (swell plate)
G-T0094/NZ: CBR annular surcharge weight 2 kg
G-T0095/NZ: CBR slotted surcharge weight 2 kg (optional)
34-T0093: Dial gauge tripod, non corrodible alloy
82-D1257: Dial gauge 30 mm x 0.01 mm
82-D1255: Dial gauge 10 mm x 0.01 mm (optional)
86-D1800: Whatman paper (or equivalent) No 1 x 150 mm dia. medium grade.

An alternative method of compacting is to use an automatic compactor.
